Fujikawaguchiko to Tokyo – we were now into single figures until we return home! We’d booked a coach to take us back to Tokyo for five nights. The bus arrived and it was the “Thomas Express” emblazoned with Thomas the Tank Engine graphics. We felt like we were off on a school trip. Inside the bus also had themed seat covers and curtains. Two and a half hours later we arrived at Tokyo station for the transfer to our hotel in Asakusa.
We spent the next five days exploring! Riding the metro and walking miles. Due to the heavy rain the Sakura festival in the park was cancelled, however the cherry blossom was still beautiful even in the rain. Some of the highlights from our stay were;

✅ Don Quijote – 5 store discount store packed from floor to ceiling with anything/everything
✅ Metropolitan Government Building – Observation Decks/Lightshow Projections
✅ Shinjuku – Shopping, Godzilla Head & 3D Cat Billboard
✅ Ueno Park
Just like that Japan was well and truly done.
